The layout of the kitchen/dining/living was not as functional as it could be, so we opened the entire kitchen to create an open concept. Our client wanted white, bright and a blend of mid-century and modern.
This same room had one additional challenge…the fireplace! In the beginning, we were completely stumped as to repurpose the brick and paint it or reface it completely, as the original colours didn’t jive with our vision. After a few coats of paint, a wood slat feature wall, and built-ins floor to ceiling, the fireplace is now the star of the space.
